Students and Parents:

Welcome back to the BEST school!  I hope you had a wonderful summer and were able to do some fun things and enjoy spending time with your family and friends!  We have two SENSATIONAL units of study this year that I am confident you will enjoy!

The first is an architectural unit entitled, “Build – It!”  In this unit we will learn about famous structures and how they were built.  We will be doing a lot of “hands on” activities and some are edible!  We will have a “Build It Festival” on where the students will spend the day making things to take home…..using the skills and knowledge obtained from the unit.

The second unit is a math unit entitled, “Math Wizards!”  This unit is a new one that has just been introduced to the gifted program and will center on statistics and probability and show how math is used in everyday life!  This is also a very “hands on” unit that I am confident the students will enjoy!   We will plan a “Math Carnival” in the spring for the entire school to enjoy centering on math activities and prizes for the correct answers!
